72 Lives Saved in 72 Hours

Blog Story 2

Last week was a blur! 72 of our shelter pets went to shelters where greater demand means quicker adoptions. Our staff and volunteers made all this happen in just 72 hours! We rented a van and drove 40 cats to Wisconsin to meet our incredible partners at UPAWS and Oshkosh Area Humane Society. These cats have already been spayed/neutered and many already have found their forever homes! While the cats we were headed to Wisconsin, 4 of our dogs met up with the Red Dog Rescue Transport in Nacodoches where they headed for Ontario Canada. Four lucky adoptive families were there waiting for their arrival and they all went home that day! Finally, while we were driving to Wisconsin, we learned that 28 of our dogs would be taking a flight on Wings of Rescue to Brandywine Valley SCPA & St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center. While we try to find a loving home for every animal in our care, we know we cannot do it alone. We are so grateful for such a dedicated staff, caring volunteers, foster parents, and amazing rescue partners!!
